8800NL R2 - use of EWAN port as normal port 5

I have BT Infinity connected by RJ11. I'd like to use the EWAN port as a normal port.

The manual says it can be done but I couldn't see how to turn it into a normal port.

Once activated as a normal port, I would connect to a Netgear Router to provide different wifi capabilities.

As long as you have not configured the device for a WAN >> Ethernet connection you can use the EWAN port as a fifth Ethernet port
You can check this under 'Configuration >>WAN>> WAN Service' make sure there is not a Ethernet connection (ETH Interface) setup there
