WiFi calling

Post by grumpyoldman »

My motorola mobile phone supports WiFi calling. However the phone doesn't connect to WiFi calling in my home, it does elsewhere. is there a router setting I need to change?

Thank you

Try disabling IPsec ALG found under 'Configuration >> NAT >> ALG' disable the IPsec option and see if wifi calling works.

Then disconnect from the 8800AXL R2 and reconnect, also turn on flight mode, and then disable flight mode

Also is your mobile provider EE??

Thanks for your reply and solution. I have disabled IPsec and problem is resolved with WiFi calling symbol now showing. What is IPsec?

Yes I am with EE, is this common problem?

Thanks once again.

Not a common problem, IPsec is the type of VPN that is used to make the wifi call, as the call has to be encrypted.

Its not a security risk, just allowing protocol through
