You must be at 40 MHz to reach 300 Mb/s

Check the max connectivity speeds for your device, a quick google search should point you in the right direction, things to ensure that are set within the router are bandwidth 20/40mhz, security WPA2 AES, OBSS co existence = disabledArkoth wrote:have you seen my screenshot: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=3408#p10342

Also check on other devices if they are able to connect at 300mbps (PC with 5ghz compatibility)

Re: 7800DXL - Wifi 5ghz slow
for my android device:
- oneplus one https://oneplus.net/one#features:

=> Wi-Fi 2.4/5GHz 802.11 b/g/n/ac
- nexus 10:
=> Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (MIMO + HT40)
- nexus 4:
=> Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n 2x2
all android at 150Mbps max
yes, on the router, the bandwidth is set to 20/40mhz, security WPA2 AES, OBSS co existence = disabled
I've test with a pc (laptop), I have 300Mbps sometimes with this setting with 5ghz
other value I have seen on it: 150Mbps, 216Mbps, 243Mbps
it's not stable

If your can PC can connect above 150mbps, then this proves the router can output a signal at 300mbps.Arkoth wrote:for my android device:

Try changing the channel on the 5ghz band and also try to change the Regulatory Mode to 802.11h so see if the connection speeds settle down

Re: 7800DXL - Wifi 5ghz slow
To get 300mbps out of your android device you will need to use two spatial streams, which requires two antennas. Each stream/antenna can go up to 150mbps, most android tablets/phones etc only have one wifi antenna. It is actually possible to get 450mbps using the 802.11n wi-fi standard, but you'd need three antennas to do that!
So if you get it to connect at 150mbps you are doing really well.
[edit]
Just found this, maybe the Nexus 10 has 2 antenna after all... I will have to have a play as I have one...
