This firmware, does it eradicate all of the existing settings when installed or does it preserve them?

Because I just will go stark raving mad if it eradicates them all & I have to start again, as I'm just having so much trouble at the moment, that I might just give my router & Wi-Fi extender a free flying lesson.

It most likely will not - but save out your current settings as a backup just in case (always good practice anyway)

It didn't disturb any of the settings when I did mine yesterday.

just make sure you select reboot with current settings rather than reboot with factory settings after firmware update

Would anyone have a copy of the older 8800AXL firmware. I've flashed the newer one, and so far my NAS and Solar Panel remote access have failed with the new firmware. It's had a couple of reboots and a night totally off, but so far no luck.

I've got to narrow it down to not being the powerline plugs, and after that it can only be the new firmware?!

I took the time to try the homeplugs, and it doesn't help the issue.

I then decided to reflash the new firmware, this time resetting to factory default too.

The Solar tracker is now fine, but the NAS is still not viewable remotely.

Off to try some settings to see if I can figure out why all of a sudden it's lost the ability.

If you manage to get the older firmware copy - whack it over here - I want to see if my streaming issues with Netflix, Blinkbox etc is down to the new firmware.

Cheers,

Rick.

Fab - was just emailing support - this is the firmware that was previously on the 8800AXL before I applied the other?

This firmware (2.32d.dm12) is the stock firmware (firmware shipped with the device)
