BiPAC 8800AXL & Talktalk fibre

Post by glaker »

Hi,
Can anyone help please? I'm trying to connect BiPAC 8800AXL to talktalk fibre following the auto setup guide 2.3 VSDL(fibre connection) Page 12 for talktalk home connection but the setup continually fails? can anyone point me in the right direction before I have to return the unit.
Kind Regards
Alan

Have you tried to call the support line - they are very helpful, they helped me out when trying to connect to plusnet - 0203 372 0120.

Try the following

1. Reset the unit back to factory default settings
2. Login to router on http://192.168.1.254
3. Use the username 'admin' and password 'admin' to login
4. Click on 'Configuration >> WAN >> WAN Service
5. Edit the 'PTM/PPPOE' interface
6. Change the 'Type' to 'IP Over Ethenet'
7. Ensure the '802.1P Priority' is set to 0 and the '802.1Q VLAN ID' is set to 101
8. Make sure 'Obtain an IP address automatically' is ticked
9. Click on 'Apply'
10. Check to see if the internet LED on the front of the router has turned 'green'
