My 7800N ( UK ) is at 1.06a ( UK) and seems to be working ok however I see 1.06f is now out. I would like adviceon whether I should bother upgrading as I don't seem to have any major issues. I would also like to locate a UK 1.06a firmware download just in case I need to restore if it goes wrong.
Is there a location that holds all previous version?

Re: locate 1.06a firmware
You can safeguard your own 1.06a f/w by using the Backup/Restore facility within the router so you could try the new f/w and if it causes any probs, then just use the same facility to restore.
Log into the router then navigate Advanced >> Configuration >> System and select Backup/Restore. Select the Backup option >> Save and it will save it to your Downloads as a .conf file.
To Restore, navigate to the same section and select Restore >> Browse >> select where it was saved, click on it then OPEN and follow the prompts, not forgetting the final Save Config.

Re: locate 1.06a firmware
Attached is firmware 1.06a.
You can backup your settings from firmware 1.06a, but DO NOT RESTORE YOUR SETTING on firmware 1.06f.dc1 as advised above, this will mess everything up. (as the backup was made on 1.06a),
There is no way to back up your firmware, you can only backup your settings to a config file.
If you backup a config on firmware 1.06a, then the config should ONLY be restored on firmware 1.06a.
Also if you dont have any issues with firmware 1.06a, I would suggest not playing around, as once you upgrade the firmware you have reset back to factory default settings, and manually reconfigure the device.
I hope this helps

Re: locate 1.06a firmware
Apologies, I assumed as the backup file was saved as 1.06*.conf it would also save that firmware.
