Sky Anytime+ Working with 7800N

Post by billion_fan »

Thought I should let everyone know the Billion Bipac 7800N is working fine with Sky Anytime + (Download Movies, TV Shows etc via Sky Set top box)

I have downloaded HD movies and normal movies, without issue

I have the following setup

Be (ISP) >> Bipac 7800N >> Ethernet Connection >> Sky+ HD Box

No Port Forwarding or DMZ was needed just plug and play once you have upgraded your sky account to sky anytime +

On a further note -:

Possbile Solution for users that can not connect the Bipac 7800N to a Sky set top box (Wiring Restrictions)

I will be performing tests with the Billion BiPAC P108 (2 x 2075) HomePlug AV 500 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet Adapters soon, as a viable solution for users that cannot connect a direct/wired connection from the Bipac 7800N to their sky set top box.

Example for users who don't know about Billion BiPAC P108 (2 x 2075) HomePlug AV 500 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet Adapters

With the Billion Bipac P108, one unit will connect your sky set top box in your sitting room the other will connect to your router (Billion Bipac 7800N) in your study. The homeplugs will use your electrical circuit to transfer data, plug one up to your router, the second unit connects to your sky box (PS3, PC, Media Player, XBOX, etc) Simples :)

I think the only issue has been that until recently you needed a Sky BB connection for Anytime+.

I've been using homeplugs - not Billion btw - and a 7800N for nearly a year now very successfully.
