Hi Guys, thanks all for your responses, I didn't notice the was a second page until just now

Duh! moment there.
Unfortunately since last night, I have not been so lucky. After trying different settings quite a few times, my dload speed has stayed a ridiculously low 16k even though I'm synced at 4544k (I hate BT's automated exchange technology)
Yes, I did reset to factory settings, a few times infact, when I first tried it, then both times after upgrading the firmware.
Unfortunately, no I can't try on a different ADSL connection.
As far as the cable goes, it's just the RJ11 to the master socket (via a filter of course) that came with the Router, I did however switch them over to the one I was using previously just to try, but still no joy
Tomken, I like the idea of it potentially being high resistance in one of the router components, I've eliminated the cables as being to blame. I have re-synced at 4544k at the moment on my 2wire 2700hgv router, I even tried my old Netgear DG834 V2 which synced at 4100, which is slightly better than it ever used to.
Is there any way that it could be just because the technology I have always used is old, and the new stuff just aint compatible? I mean everywhere I looked, even people on DSLMAX like me, were raving about this router, because it was great for long lines and people living out in the sticks.
I really want this router to work, but it just seems so out there, that it's maybe faulty.
Thanks guys, what a great forum
Grim.
