You could try changing the microfilters if you use them, but this sounds more like a line fault and a call to your ISP to have them do a line test would be advisable.

Hi
Please post your ADSL status page, so we can check your ADSL stats
You can find your ADSL status page by following these steps.
1. Login to the router web configuration page on http://192.168.1.254
2. Use the username 'admin' and password 'admin' to login
3. Click on 'Advanced'
4. Click on 'Status'
5. Click on 'ADSL status'
6. Take a screen capture of the this page and post it here (use the print screen button on your keyboard and paste in paint)

Re: 7800N keeps changing ip address
IF those stats are correct you are not going to see speeds any higher.
The figures look wrong especially the upload speed, what service are you on ADSL Max or ADSL2+ and which ISP ?
An SNR of 1.9 on Max is unlikely to hold the line for long.

Re: 7800N keeps changing ip address
If they upgraded the exchange it must be ADSL2+. Your router is set to G.DMT which is ADSL Max. Reset your ADSL MODE to ADSL2+ and see how that helps . ( Look in CONFIGURATION >> ADSL MODE>MODULATOR in your routers interface)

Hi
You stats look much better
Upstream 928
Downstream 2272
SNR Margin(Upstream) 8.0
SNR Margin(Downstream) 7.4
Line Attenuation(Upstream) 30.0
Line Attenuation(Downstream) 49.0
The SNR up and down is fine, are you still having issues with these new reading?

It is still changing ip address several times aday.
If you set the router to ADSL+2 you only get a speed of1876 and still changes ip address.

Re: 7800N keeps changing ip address
HI mike1970
I assume the router is dropping the ADSL connection when the IP change is made, this is normal as you are not on a static IP and everytime your router resyncs it will get a dynamic WAN IP from BT.
So the issue has to be donw to drops on the ADSL line, does the issue occur at set times in the day/night?
Can you monitor the SNR reading to check if your SNR drops.
