Junos Pulse VPN Unstable with BiPAC 8800NXL

Post by owenbear »

Hi,
I recently ordered a BiPAC 8800NXL for my VDSL at home, everything is fine except when I am trying to use Junos Pulse to VPN my office network, I found the connection is very unstable. Usually after few minutes, the Junos Pulse VPN connection will be dropped. Then all devices connected to the 8800NXL cannot connect to internet anymore. Does anyone know is there any special settings I need to apply here? I have been struggled with this problem for more than one week now.
Thanks.

I had problems with Cisco AnyConnect VPN and had to install pre-release firmware as per this post.

Junos might need a different kind of passthrough.

Thanks a lot for your reply, but my router cannot install the firmware in your post. Error in the log was product not matches, requiring 8800NXL, but found 8800NL.

The Bipac 8800NXL is not a UK sold model, so can't support this model, you will have to contact you local support team or your retailer for support

Hi Guys,

For those who have issues connecting via Billion 8800NXL VDSL using VPN :

Path: Configuration <> NAT <> ALG <> IPSec = Disable

See attached screenshot.

Kind regards,
PPJ
