Sorry, I wasn't clear - you have got exactly the opposite impression from my post.

If the buffering is down to lag and it becomes unwatchable,
You are describing an inability to buffer far enough ahead, which is often described as "buffering".

I am saying that the video had already buffered so far ahead (the grey bar), that the video kept playing flawlessly, and the connection came back quickly enough that buffering (read-ahead) resumed before the video reached the end of the grey bar. In addition, the buffering (read-ahead) continued flawlessly and instantly once the connection was resumed.

Haven't noticed any difference in SNRM with wireless off, and I'm connected off one of the gig ethernet ports anyway.

It didn't.

Tomken wrote:...is that if it happens too often, then the line management will kick in and increase your SNRM so rather than risk having too many of these auto reboots when your line is a bit buggy...
I'll admit, that is a major concern.

Must read up on TalkTalk's DLM.

Tomken wrote:The telnet cmd for line stats is adsl info --stats and you can restart the router from telnet by the cmd reboot

All cmds are executed by pressing Enter and notice the space before the two dashes.

However, the telnet page is not dynamic and cannot be refreshed and once the router has resync'd, pressing any key will log you out of telnet and you will have to log back in to see the stats.

For usage of telnet cmds enter adsl --help and for a list of the categories enter help at the cmd prompt.

Entering any of those categories at the cmd prompt will show its usage.

Hope this will be of help.
Could you please explain more on how to telnet as my window cme.exe kept reporting 'adsl is not recognised as an internal or external command' Many thanks

You need to telnet into the router before you can issue the telnet commands.

A very good utility to use for this is Putty , easily found.

Without that just "Telnet 192.168.1.254" at the Windows cmd command line and login normally. Then issue the telnet commands.

Telnet is not default in Win7 and you will need to activate it via Programs and Features/Turn Windows features on or off then scroll down to Telnet Client and tick the box.

It is then accessed via Start then typing telnet 192.168.1.254 > Enter when it's highlighted then login as you would into the router with admin and password, but each followed by Enter.

You will see admin on the screen but no movement of the cursor when entering your password and any typos will result in a login failure, so you just start again with admin as back spacing doesn't work and then you'll be presented with the prompt.
