Though a solution wasn't found I want to say how good the tech service has been, I had a member of staff remote access my computer and attempt to sort everything out for me, the conclusion 1 hour and 40 minutes later is.....
My NVR does not like my Hik Vision IP Cam (The other IP cam works fine), every possible combination was tried and every time the NVR would freeze then reboot and continue in this cycle until the hik vision feed was stopped manually.
Just very strange that the NVR would freeze and reboot as soon as the feed was activated.
Once again thanks for all your help, and hopefully a new NVR will sort the issue.

I'm also having problems. I've tried all the methods described in the manual and in this forum. None have worked. I'm simply trying to forward port 80 to an internal IP. I'm going to do a factory reset and try everything again.

I've even tried a factory reset and still no joy it just won't open the ports!
Any advice ?
The key is to make sure the correct interface is selected, also make sure the correct default gateway is set to the device that you need to port forward too
