Hi guys
Sorry if this is a duplicate of an obvious question, but I've done plenty of searching and can't find anything of help.
Basically, I replaced my faulty Airport Time Capsule with the 7800n router. Since then I have been unable to connect to my work VPN account through OS X Lion.
I connect via the VPN setup using VPN over CiscoIPSec in Network in Settings (i.e not using any other software apart from the OS). The odd thing is that as far as the OS is concerned it is connected - no error messages - but I cannot access anything via Remote Desktop to my work. When I try I get time out errors.
These settings worked fine with my Time Capsule, so I'm going to assume for the moment that the settings are fine. I've had a look at the 7800 web admin software and can't see anything which would prevent me from 'dialling out' via VPN. There are no firewall rules enabled.
Is there something I'm missing? Hopefully it's an obvious thing, but I'm currently clueless.
Thanks

Hi
Are you using the 7800N as modem/router or just a router (like the time capsule)

As a modem router.billion_fan wrote:Hi

Oddly enough, it is now working. I updated my Os to Mountain Lion and lo and behold it now works! Go figure. I wonder if there was a system glitch on my mac that was resolved by reinstalling the os.
So, nothing wrong with the router then. Thanks for replying anyway.
Cheers

Hi blaizefm
Thats great news, it did sound strange (your issue) but as least it is now resolved.
