Migrating from ADSL2+ to VDSL

When migrating service type (which hopefully for me will be next week), is it wise to remove the ADSL configuration beforehand by checking the "Remove" box in.... Config -> WAN -> WANService, or doesn't it matter?

It shouldn't matter as long as you have a PTM interface added also (for your VDSL connection)
