My internet was working, although not particularly well, until recently. I removed the cable from the adsl socket and put it back in. But now I can't connect to the internet at all. The DSL light doesn't come on either.
I've plugged the same cable into my netgear router and I can get the internet and the dsl light comes on.
Is it a hardware failure? A crash? Any ideas on how to diagnose?
Thanks,
Jon

Re: No DSL light
I think you probably have a hardware failure but before raising a ticket with Support there are a few things you can try. Have you logged into the router's web interface on 192.168.1.254 and checked the 'status' section to see the physical port status? If there's no clue there you could try a factory reset. If you have access to a voltmeter you could check for 12v at the DC plug.

A reset back to factory default settings normally resolves this issue, please try and hold the reset pin hole in for 10 seconds while the unit is powered on, you will need a paperclip or pin to perform the reset and the reset pin hole is located next to the power jack on the device.
