BiPAC 8900AX2400 BT Vision settings

Post by carrpet »

Hi there,

I could do with some help please !

I have been trying to get my BiPAC8900AX to work with my BT Vision Box.

There are settings published for the 8800NL but the menus are subtly different, in a few areas eg IPTV and I could do with some help

I was wondering if anyone has a set of settings that work or can help me find my way through this problem.

Thanks

Just been following the instructions and a potential issue has arisen which I would like your further advice on.
The setup as described requires me to dedicate an ethernet port (in my case Port 1) to the BT Vision IP player.

This port is not however just dedicated to the BT Vision box, there are about 12 other Ethernet connected devices attached via 3 network switches between the router and the BT Player.

It is also generating new IP addresses from that port 192.2.168.xxx

Is this going to be a problem ? I have gone back to my BT Homehub 6 while I sort this out ?

Would welcome your thoughts ?

Thanks

The BT Vision box needs a direct connection to the router, on the configured port eg port 1, the work around solution would be to use homeplug/powerline adapters to make the connection between the Billion and the BT vision box. (if a direct Ethernet connection is not available)

The other new IP address (192.168.2.x) should not matter.
