Hi,
I used to be able to connect to my work's Cisco VPN using Cisco Anyconnect v2.5 on Win7 x64.
Then I had to reflash the Billion 7800N router firmware after it failed to get a DSL connection, so the firmware got upgraded from 1.06b (I think) to the latest 1.06g. Broadband is now back up and fully working, but when I try to get a Cisco VPN connection, it connects then drops almost immediately. In the Cisco Event log I see these warning messages:
Automatic correction of the routing table has failed. Notifying higher levels of the routing change notification for possible further corrective action.
Reconnecting due to an IP forwarding table modification
There are lots of other messages in the log, but these seem to re-occur & look to be the source of the issue.
I also have a virtual server that has the Cisco Anyconnect client installed and it also is having this issue, so its not confined to the software on my PC, which is what made me think it was something to do with the Billion change.
I am reluctant at present to hunt around to find an older Billion firmware and try that, since I don't want to lose my DSL connection.
So is anyone else managing to use Cisco VPN via Billion 7800N 1.06g or have any suggestions as to what I can do to resolve this issue?

Re: Cisco VPN Connection Broken by 1.06g Firmware
Try firmware 1.06b again for us, if you reset the device back to factory default settings after the firmware upgrade your ADSL line should sync fine. (dont restore a back up of a older config file)
If it does not sync you can always upgrade back to 1.06g. (we don't lock our products down like Sony or Apple)
Attached is firmware 1.06b (should save you some time looking for the firmware)
Please us know the outcome.

Re: Cisco VPN Connection Broken by 1.06g Firmware
Thanks, I will give it a go.
I am at work today, not using the Billion, and I can use Cisco AnyConnect to connect to a client without problem - yesterday the VPN connection only worked about 1 time out of 3. So its looking like the Billion router is causing the problem. I am tempted to try a neighbour's broadband router & if I can get VPN to connect via their router, then I will know for sure.
That will have to wait to the weekend. I will report back.
I see from the firmware change logs that various "fixes" have been applied to IPSEC so I wonder if that has affected the Cisco VPN connection. Prior to the firmware change and I never had this specific problem, but I am aware that other things change too!

I think on the release notes when it refers to IPsec fixes this is for a different model, I think they refer to Bipac 7800GZ which has IPsec onboard.

Re: Cisco VPN Connection Broken by 1.06g Firmware
I dug around and found the Cisco VPN Client v5.0. Cisco are retiring this product and want us to use the AnyConnect client. Anyhow, I uninstalled the Cisco AnyConnect client (v2.5) which does not work, and installed Cisco VPN Client v5. This VPN client does allow me to connect to my work network.
So there seems to be some sort of issue with Cisco Anyconnect v2.5 and Billion 7800N on 1.06g, on the basis I didn't have this problem before 1.06g and I don't get the problem when not using the Billion.
Trouble is, I need to use the AyConnect client since some of the VPNs I access only work with that, so more troubleshooting required!

I could be incorrect, but I think the Anyconnect client is proprietry and will only connect to Cisco routers that support it such as the ASA 5500 series and some of the Lynksys routers.
