7800N Monitor

Post by Jimmy06 »

Hey guys I'm currently making some software for my 7800N and wondered if there was anyone with the need / attraction to bug test the software there are loads currently :P

Below I will include a screen shot of the app running.

Reply to this post of you find it interesting.

Regards

Jimmy

This is the app with 11 Mins 30's of stats the graph will show up to 2 hours of stats currently and readings are took with 30's intervals.

This is a Full Graph of my dataset. This takes a long time to generate when there's a lot of data.

Not exactly as that's via the web interface. This means you cannot access the web interface whilst routerstats is running.

I'd be interested in trying it out. Not really a fan of Routerstats as it fails to telnet login half of the time, plus the program tends to get bogged down after it's been logging stats for over 24 hours, in which I need to close and restart :)

I'd be interested to test the app. It looks like it's for Windows, but I can run Windows 7 in a VM (I uses Macs).

I will PM you details :)
Your correct it is for windows and currently will only handle an ADSL2 connection. Im working at fixing that though but as this is only a hobbie I have no intention working my * off to correct it :)

After some though I've found that maybe SNMP might be a better option. What do you guys think ?

Would you like me to do two version one with SNMP and the Telnet version ?

SNMP would mean I can easily make this work for any connection method to the internet

I assume using SNMP would also make it more generic such that it should work with other ADSL modems/routers?

Would most probably work on any model of BIllion router but other manufactures might use different OID's
