Setting Time on 7800

Post by milonic »

Hi Guys,

I'm having trouble setting the time on my 7800's

I have 2 7800's running in "Pure Bridge Mode" and when I set valid NTP servers nothing changes. Stays at Jan 1st 2000 on both boxes.

Any ideas?

This is because the router is setup in 'Pure Bridge' mode and does not accuire a IP address/internet connection so cannot update the time.

OK, I can understand that but is there a way of setting the time manually then?

I would like to fix this as it's throwing our SNMP logging out of sync.

Sorry if this is an obvious question, but I simply cannot see how to change the time.

I don't you can set the time manually as the device has to connect to the internet to update the time.

Can this be added to the next firmware version?

I find it hard to believe that the developers wouldn't include a feature to set the correct time, how hard can it be?
