7800n - no internet and I can't connect to 192.168.1.254

Having worked fine previously, my 7800n now has two issues. Everything else lights up as it should, but the internet light remains a solid amber - never any internet connection. I also can't get into the settings at 192.168.1.254, any browser gives me a 'can't establish a connection to the server at 192.168.1.254.' (My Netgear router connects fine at the same wall socket.)
Are the lack of internet connection and the inability to get to the router settings connected? Any help much appreciated.

What IP address does the 7800N issue your device/computer??

Have you tried connecting your computer to the EWAN port and then attempt to login on 192.168.1.254??

I've just tried connecting via the EWAN port and no joy - the EWAN light is a flickering amber and the internet still a solid amber.
In the past the 7800N has worked fine, and I could access its settings at 192.168.1.254, no problem. I've used the Netgear since, with no problems - so I'm puzzled as to what's changed with the 7800N now.

Did you change the web management port?? Also have you tried to reset the unit back to factory default settings?
