I reverted the FW to 2.52.d10 on Sunday. I reset the gateway prior to uploading the FW and reset it again after too. I also used a newly made DSL cable and it's wired into the test socket of the NTE socket.

I noted that Attn has reduced by 0.5dB from 22.7dB to 22.2dB. I usually see this fluctuate by 0.1 - 0.2dB between re-syncs but not by this degree. I also note that the downstream SNRM is more stable now. I think both ofthese things are more to do with the cable than the FW change.

As I type, the gateway has been up and synced for: 1D 23H 40M. I'll continue to monitor with DSLStats, BQM and syslog.

Attached is the 8800AXL R2 test firmware will you be able to test it and let us know if it resolves the reboot issue.

Thanks for this.

I'll attempt to get it on tonight. Will I need to factory reset after installing?

For information, it's been up, without interruption, since I installed the current official software again.

You shouldn't need to reset back to factory default settings, (as our engineers have remotely upgraded a couple devices so far) but I would make a backup of your config first just to be sure :D

Excellent and thanks.

I only asked as I don't have time to reconfig the thing from scratch currently, so not having to do so means I can update it sooner.

I might have a go at doing it remotely... :D

Just for info, on the current official FW release, I've not had a reset since changing the FW 10D 3H 19M ago.

That's positive but I would still suggest upgrading to the newer firmware
