Has any progress been made on this? Will there be a 1.06g for wired version with a fix. I see there are some problems with the Ewan port and QoS and speeds on the 7800N. Connected?

I have noticed this stalling/pausing when downloading a file , but only when there is 1 connection (single thread) to the server the file is hosted on, this is when using the 7800 (wired version) using 1.6 H F/W as a router for a FTTC VDSL2 80/20 service, utilizing the EWAN port to connect to the BT openreach modem using PPPOE , I have for some time thought that the pausing when downloading using only a single thread was something to do with the FTTC connection or my ISP ,
But recently DLM has intervened as a result i was going to report this pausing as a fault with my connection, but using process of elimination i needed to rule out the billion 7800 as a possibility to avoid any potential BT openreach charges ,
Upon Connecting directly to the BT modem using PPPOE mini port from the PC and downloading the same test files from the same servers it soon became clear that the connection was not at fault, as there was a constant uninterrupted stream of data , this was also repeated several times, no pausing was observed, I then used a different PC with a different o/s connected that to the billion 7800 And downloaded the same file , and the pausing was repeated
So i conclude that this issue I'm seeing is down to the billion 7800, So i guess that this old issue was never fixed by billion?

Yes single threaded downloads still pause for me. As a workaround I used downthemall in firefox which uses multithreaded downloads 4-6 segements and no pauses are observed. My test file is Windows XP SP3 network file hosted by akamai, so good robust servers. Interesting you see this on fibre too.

It's certainly a strange issue, and IMO billion should have fixed it, my 7800 is still within the 2yr warranty period, so i feel that billion should offer a replacement unit, as there is clearly a fault that they haven't fixed via a firmware update, maybe because it's due to the hardware itself ?
Thing is though, when updating windows that will be using a single thread as well, although the file sizes do tend to be small in comparison to say a 1 or 10gb test file

I tried that downthemall ff addon, it doesn't provide a means to download using several threads to the same source, So the download still pauses, and in my firewall there is only the one established connection passing data
