When you switch on a PS3, it immediately logs into PSN and is incredibly sensitive to dropped connections. If I deliberately drop the connection on the PS3 by unplugging the ethernet cable while watching something, that "logged out of PSN" message will most often appear before the streamed media I'm watching even pauses. When this problem first became evident however, I could immediately select and start watching a different film which made it even more obvious there wasn't a connectivity issue. Oh yeah, and it happens after two hours on a Bravia internet TV too.
Wireless troubleshooting was the first thing I did before posting here. PS3 has 100% signal strength, and the built-in speed-test result is 12Mbps downstream. This problem occurs when the PS3 is plugged in with a cable too though.
