Still having issues and want to make sure the 7800 isn't faulty or some of my settings are incorrect before I log a fault with BT (if it turns out to be the router they will charge me).

The router has an uptime of just 8 mins and already some of the downstream counters seem a little high. Also the interleave depth seems high at 480. I tried a Zyxel modem and it sets the interleave depth at 32.

Are there any known issues with Billion 7800N routers connecting to BT DSLAMs?

When my Billion 7800N is connected the MTBE (Mean TIme Between Errors) is very high and BT then apply an extra 3db of margin, per day, until it reaches 30db. This gives me a download rate of 3Mb when it should be closer to 16Mb.

I also have a Zyxel P660H-D1 router, and when that is connected there are no such errors, so the problem is related to the Billion. I have tried 2 Billion routers and both have the same issue (so probably not a faulty router).

This is the kit I connect to at the exchange:

> adsl info --vendor
adsl: ADSL driver and PHY status
Status: Showtime
Retrain Reason: 8000
Max: Upstream rate = 864 Kbps, Downstream rate = 18264 Kbps
Path: 0, Upstream rate = 864 Kbps, Downstream rate = 3069 Kbps

ChipSet Vendor Id: IFTN:0x827a
ChipSet VersionNumber: 0x827a
ChipSet SerialNumber: 2301230123012301230123012301230

It's driving me mad!!!!
