I've followed the setup guide correctly, but am still experiencing many problems related to both normal smart TV and BT TV viewing. On BT TV, we experience black previews for the channels and recordings, and struggle to access many on-demand services. On the normal smart TV side, I can't create a wired/wireless connection.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Will
The smart TV unable to connect via wired is strange, as its a normal wired connection it should be fine. Have you tried to plug a PC to the same Ethernet port and see what IP address, subnet, gateway you get??

Can you try restoring a config I just created for you, it has the standard BT PPPOE for VDSL setup, once loaded plug your BT TV viewing box to port 1 on the router. (you will need to adjust the wireless settings to match your requirements)

The TV is connected to a powerline adapter, which is behind the TV, so it wouldn't be feasible to connect a PC there. Should I still try using the config you've attached?

Yes worth a try, make a backup of your config first though

Just to note, the other powerline adapter which is connected to the router, is connected to port 3. So, I assume I'll need to change the assigned port to that when I load up this new config?

Yes or just plug the homeplug to port 1 (it would be easier)

That configuration file doesn't work, was left with no internet access, so had to restore my backup.

I setup the config with a standard BT username and password for a FTTC connection Username - bthomehub@btinternet.com, password - BT.

Unless BT have provided you with a specific broadband username and password, this might need to be adjusted

It wasn't that, the configuration file doesn't load at all.
