Disappointing news, does the 8800NL R2 have this issue?

From my test a while back I don't think it has the same issue. (I can't test it again at the moment as I don't have a VDSL line in our new premises yet, we just moved inGaZaai wrote:Disappointing news, does the 8800NL R2 have this issue?

I still say this is a bug in the QoS code. If you enter 20000/80000 in the EWAN Line Speed on the QoS Classification Setup page, apply, then reset it back to 0/0 and apply it again, I get the following speedtest speeds...

This only works for a few days before it loses the speed again. Can other users try this and see if it works for you.

Yes I know this, It worked for me also, but its not a bug as stated from the reply from our engineers, its more of a feature to protect against killing the download/web browsing when uploading7800nUser wrote:I still say this is a bug in the QoS code. Even faster today... http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/5420469669
Just a thought, why not make it an optional feature that users can turn on/off if they have problems with it killing their browsing speeds? Personally I've never had that problem where it affects the download speed. Thanks for your help on this billion_fan

I already suggested that, but they said it was part of the broadcom base code, so no permanent solution7800nUser wrote:Even faster today... http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/5420469669

Seems to be staying above 19Mb/s after the QOS tweak. Is there any way to script this so the modem applies this on a reboot?
Also will there be an updated firmware with the newer PHY code?

How long does your QOS tweak last?

When I tried it before it only worked for a few days until the modem decided to drop back to 17Mb/s upload speeds, but this time it seems to be holding up above 19Mb/s. YMMV though.

That's strange as for me it only lasts for a couple of minutes maybe less. What method do you use?
