8800NLR2 no wifi (radio off) at random although LED is on

On two Billion 8800NLR2 Wifi disappears suddenly and sometimes re-appears for no reason. The WLAN LED is on all the time. It is not just the connection dropping, but the SSID disappearing - even from WifI analyzer software. Sometimes I observed that the SSID appears for a split second on the analyzer during the boot process but is then gone again. As I said in the beginning I am experiencing this on two machines, both running firmware 2.50a.d13. so it looks to me more of a software than a hardware issue.

Are both devices deployed in the same area?? (deploying them away from each other should minimise interference)

Have you tried the norm, change the channel, make sure the bandwidth is set to 20mhz??

Is there any other wireless devices nearby that be causing interference?? eg cordless phones??

Have you checked to see if the 'Hide SSID' option is not ticked? (Configuration >> Wireless >> Basic) it should not be ticked

Also are all wireless devices unable to see the SSID or just one device??

Thanks for your suggestions. All devices are unable to see the SSID. I even scanned the whole frequency range from 1GHz to 6GHz with my HackRF to see if there is any RF interference. The strongest interference came indeed from a cordless phone but I moved its base station away days ago and it did not solve the problem. Standard WiFi analyzer software like Android WiFi Analyzer or Kismet show much weaker and more distant APs, but not the Billion. Both devices are not in use simultaneously - I just swapped one Billion with another and got the same strange result. I will probably try to downgrade the firmware to an earlier version that (hopefully) does not show this strange behaviour. Another thing I consider looking at is power surges that may confuse / damage the router and I will try one of these devices at home to see if they behave here.

I have just joined the forum today and need some help please. I have had my new Billion BiPAC 8800NL R2 for two weeks with Callflow after switching from Talktalk. I also have an Amazon Fire Stick which I bought about 6 weeks ago. While I am watching a movie on the fire stick it suddenly cuts off and I get a message that my internet connection is disconnected. This happens often and is very annoying especially when you are in the middle of enjoying a film. Can anyone shed some light on this in laymans terms please as I am not very technical. Hope this is the place to post my enquiry too, sorry if its not. Happy Christmas to everyone.

Do other devices continue to work without any issue when the issue occurs?

Does the DSL light start to flash when the issue occurs?? or does the 'INET' go out when the issue occurs??
