Recommendation for Firmware 8800NL R2

Just picked up one of these
Billion BiPAC 8800NL R2 Dual-WAN ADSL2+/VDSL2 WiFi Router

Which Firmware would you recommend?

At the Billion UK support they offer the following upgrade

But not sure what they mean.... see below

As this firmware has a new base code it is advised to reset the unit back to factory default settings after the firmware upgrade, to ensure all changes within the firmware are implemented correctly.

It is not advised to restore settings from previous firmware builds

New code base 4.16L05 with latest wireless driver

2.52.d1 is the latest firmware release, with a new Broadcom base code, and newest wireless driver. (I would recommend this firmware)
