Best wifi settings for 8800axl

I've had the 8800axl in service for a few weeks now connection is rock solid and much better than the bt home hub 6 it replaced but the wifi does not seem as good it's seems to lag and not as responsive I've you used insider to find the best non congested channels in my street which are channel 6 on 2.4g and channel 48 on 5g but wondered if I've got some settings wrong on the setup and any help would be appreciated thanks!
