I wonder if there will be an update in the future for our trusted Billion 8900AX -2400
As it states on one website:
WPA3 is available on new routers certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance, and it's up to individual vendors whether to install the protocol on existing routers with a software update.

We have to wait and see what the chipset manufacture decides, as some chipset vendors are going down the new hardware route to support WPA3, some might try the software/driver route, but its to early to tell at the moment
Also clients will need to support WPA3 to make full use of the new encryption
