8800NL R2 connection speed with interleaving

My 8800NL R2 always connected around the 34meg mark depending on SNR at the time of connect. Over a period I had adjusted the SNR required down to 4 with no issues. Interleaving has been applied to my line now and all was normal up to a depth of 8. However, it is now 16 and the router always connects at exactly 30000 regardless of the line download SNR which is often as high as 8. Is this a function of the router? A recent disconnect caused the interleaved depth to drop to 8 and the connection speed was up over 32meg - definitely not an even figure. Now interleaving is back at 16 with a 30000 connection speed. Firmware is 2.52d11.

Sounds like a cap or DLM taking action, you will need stability to return to the normal speeds if DLM is taking action, you can also request your ISP to revert your interleave depth back to 8

The SNR has never been stable despite being only 400 meters from the new fibre cabinet probably due to poor overhead wiring to our property. Speed tests show around 26 meg which is fine for me given we were 2.5 km from the original ADSL cabinet and struggling to get 2 meg! The magic of DLM strikes again it seems.
