As per title, why hasn't the 1600 R2 got openvpn support?
At the moment only the Bipac 8900AX-2400 will support Open VPN.

Just got a update our engineers they are working on it, as the 8900AX-1600 uses a different base code (to the 8900AX-2400 which supports Open VPN), this might take some time

Excellent news, many thanks
Attached is the latest firmware 2.52.d2.
As this firmware is using a newer code base you MUST upgrade the device with factory default settings and then manually reconfigure the device again.
DO NOT restore settings from previous firmware builds.
The Open VPN feature should be the same as the 2400 attached is the guides also

Great, I'll give this a spin too. I posted about this a few months ago as I was hoping for the same.

Just done that.
I can report working well here. Much cleaner than LT2P/IPSec. Thanks for this.
Question (or I can start new thread). Always like to find out the maximum security hardening that can be achieved, so...
On page: VPN\OpenVPN\OpenVPN CA
we can create an ovpn file, which includes inline certificate. I notice underneath a section with no options at all "Open VPN Static Key (tls-auth)". Is there option to add a key to use tls-auth, or is that section for future functionality?
Thanks.

I think its for future development

It is great to see continued development of the firmware. Is there an easy way I can list just the settings I have changed to aid manual reconfiguration? I took a look at the contents of backupsettings.conf but I think it is a full dump of all settings.
