well yesterday I received my billion 7800n and got it working fine on sky bb. all things connected and working 100% but then this morning I came across a problem
I have an LG NAS and I can access it no problems but I use the torrent client in it and guess what it is not working, with the sky segam router it worked flawlessly with no setting up. so I think my problem is port forwarding ??? (be gentle with me as I am a nooooob with computers) I have done some reading on this forum and had a go with no success.
am I right in trying to use the virtual server /port mapping ?
I have included some screen shots of what I have and was hoping that somebody could guide me what to put where,i have blanked out some things as I have no idea what I should/should not show

this is the info from the torrent part on the LG

and on the billion

what should I select on the drop down box ?

please do not assume that I should know some things as I am well out of my comfort zone with this lot (ps the utorrent program on my computer works fine)

Here's my port forwarding, you don't need anything from the drop boxes , just replace my external/internal details with yours then add & save

thanks for taking the time to help me m8, as I said I am well out of my comfort zone here so be gentle on me  :D
right when you say external/internal details
where yours is 53654 where would I get that from ? is it from torrent part on the LG...ie 51413 as in the picture ?

where you have internal ip address 192.168.1.7 ...where /how do I get that

Where I've got 53654 you put your incoming port address.

The 192.168.1.7 is my network address to where I forward the ports to my utorrent process. In your case that's your the network address of your LG NAS.

Does that help?

thanks for your help tim, right good news and bad :?
the LG torrent client is working :D sort of  I have been using torrents for many years 8+ and I am on some super private torrent sites that is easier to get in a bank vault than gain access to these sites
if I use a torrent from these sites and add to my LG client it just sits there and no connection no peers nothing.... but if I D/L the same torrent from an open public site the ones where anybody can go on and download stuff.....it works
so the way I see it is there must be a setting or something in the billion that the private sites do not like, my original sky segam router worked fine on these sites
also using the program utorrent on my computer using the private sites torrents works fine
any ideas all :ugeek:

ps thanks agan for helping me

Without seeing your configuration it's very hard to know quite honestly.

Some questions - not sure if your answers will help me though:-

. Do you use the same port , a different port or a range of ports for the private sites?
. Have you set up for TCP & UDP , as in my example?
. Being super private there must be some addition security to access them. What is it's nature as this might be root of the problem?
