IPv6 not working on 7800N using latest firmware?

Using latest UK firmware (1.06e) but test-ipv6 does not say I am going through ipv6.
My ISP uses ipv6 (AAISP) so what is up? Have entered my IP address and DNS addresses in WAN profile. Is there anything else needing tweaking?

Thanks

Have you also put them into your pc via Network & Sharing > IPV6 > Properties

Just a thought.

Why should I need to do that? The computer asks the router for the DNS info and the router sends all data to the computer...

Can you take a screen dump from test-ipv6 test for me, so I can check it out for you?

Who is your ISP??

I have IPv6 here working with the ISP enta.

I get 10/10 on test-ipv6 website

I have attached the info generated by the test-ipv6 website.
My ISP is Andrews and Arnold who are proudly IPV6 so don't know what is going wrong.

Thanks for the help :P

Apologies for size of images but cannot see how to reduce them...

There definitely appears to be an issue with 1.06e and IPv6. I am also with Andrews and Arnold.

On 1.06d the router successfully gives out IPv6 addresses over an extended period of time. On 1.06e the router initially gives out IPv6 addresses but they time out and then the only way to get a new IPv6 address is to reboot the router.

Maybe there is somthing in firmware version 1.06e that is causing the issue.

Normally when I setup IPv6 I have to add the IPv6 address followed by ::/64 to end of the IPv6 address to the DHCP server for IPv6. (Advanced >> Configuration >> LAN >> IPv6 Autoconfig) also enable 'Issue Router Advertisements'

I hope this helps.

I have the same problem going though IDNet.

I have only just started with ipv6, so cannot say whether it was working on the previous firmware.

When booting my Linux boxes, I see a message "no ipv6 routers present". Of course, an an ipv6 newbie, I don't know whether it is just me and the way I have things set up, although I get the same problems on test-ipv6.com (result here: http://awesomescreenshot.com/0c8q09u52 )

Hi eightace

Have you downgraded to firmware 1.06d, this might solve your IPv6 issues with AA. I would recommend staying on firmware 1.06d until firmware Uk 1.06f is tested and released.

Hi dmaatpern

Does your 7800N show a IPv6 address under the Ipv4 address on the status page of the router?

Have you added Ipv6 Autoconfig address? Also enable 'Issue Router Advertisements'
