Limited Devices?

Post by theoxens »

Hi there,

It's my first time here so If this has been posted already I apologise I just can't find it.

I have the 7800n and it is a great modem/router. I haven't had any issues until recently. Needless to say the router now finds itself struggling to cope with what I can only assume is too many devices.

There are
3 x laptops
1 x PC
1 x Iphone
1 x android
2 x xbox 360's
1 x Smart TV ( Samsung )
1 x VF sure signal

and guests phones/laptops etc but not all the time.

When I lived on my own there were no issues but now it seems I can't get more than 6 or 7 devices connected at once. Is there a limit on how many devices can connect simultaneously to this router? at this present moment 2 phones 1 laptop the sure signal, smart tv are connected but if I turn on the xbox I can't connect. It say's there is no connection. I have to physically switch off the router and turn a device off before I can connect the xbox.

I'm pretty sure this isn't right. Is there any way of checking how many devices can connect? or how to up that number? I have a BT home hub but that thing is terrible and I would rather not use it if this can be sorted

Thanks for any help
