I need to segregate my wireless LAN from my Wired LAN, is this possible by VLAN. The idea is to pass the wireless LAN to the wired LAN and through to the proxy/firewall server and then out to the internet via ADSL. Any idea please.

On the Bipac 7800N/7800 the VLAN is only for IPTV, it will isolate the ethernet for the wireless connection.

Interesting, so i cannot allocate ip address to the VLAN and then route through different ethernet port.

Not that I am aware of, via the web gui, there is no option to allocate a IP address range to the VLAN.

Thanks mate, might have to return it as I was under the impression that the WLAN and LAN can be isolated by using VLAN.

Not on the 7800N, on the 7800GZ yes I think you can do what you want, but the price is like £200 more for the 7800GZ.
