Slow speeds with BT Fibre only 34Mbps on 7800n?

Hi All,
firmware updated: 1.06h
in the last week or so I have been getting really slow speeds with my router, I have spoken to BT who say everything is fine on my line and that they can see it connecting at 74Mb and when i installed their BT Home Hub3 and did a speedtest using the below site, it came up with 71-73Mbps.
http://speedtest.btwholesale.com/
now on the Billion i can only get 30-39Mbps only download and 14-16Mbps for download and ping on 30ms and the time before i did a speedtest around a month or two ago i was getting 65-68 Mbps from my billion 7800n so i know its capable of it.
even though QOS is not setup, I have manually changed the the settings by editing the config file and then re-uploading it into the billion. i have changed it from 35000 to 80000 for download and left the upload the same 35000
the above has made no difference, I have rebooted many times and checked all my settings just in case i missed something.
I have a feeling that BT has changed some settings on their side that's not compatible with the billion.
has anyone else had this issue? if so how did you resolve it?
Any help appreciated.
