7800N and G (1st gen) Airport Express

Recently I purchased a 7800 N to replace an ageing Netgear. I have 3 airport expresses around the house for streaming music. These are initially picked up by the billion router but eventually over a few days they all disappear off the netgear, and the only way for the router to find the AEs is to switch the router off and back on again. When the AEs are recognised streaming works perfectly. I have found reports of this on other forums and even found the following "fix" but unfortunately it does not work for me:

http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/mac/40 ... t=all&vc=1

wpriv ra0 set BeaconPeriod=75
iwpriv ra0 set RTS threshold=2307
iwpriv ra0 set FragThreshold=2304

You can set these on the Billion 7800N using Terminal as follows:

1. Open command prompt.
2. Type 'telnet 192.168.1.254'
3. Enter your username and password set to the 7800N
4. Type 'iwpriv ra0 set BeaconPeriod=75'
5. Type 'iwpriv ra0 set RTS threshold=2307'
6. Type 'iwpriv ra0 set FragThreshold=2304'
7. Type 'save'
8. Type 'Logout'

I have read that 2nd gen AEs seem to be OK, but I am sure this must be some sort of setting problem. Does anyone have any thoughts about what I should do next. don't really want to buy new AEs if there is a simple fix

Thanks for any advice offered
