Billion Battery Leak

Hi All,
Today I had a short circuit at home which tripped the electrical switch, upon investigating i discovered it was my Monster 1000 surge protector that was tripping the switch. Now upon further investigation i found liquid resdue on the sock which was causing it, this liquid was leaking down from a shelf just above the surge protector which houses my Billion 7800n Router. To my astonishment when I lifted the router up I found a small puddle of this yellow type of liquid coming from right underneath the router the rest of the area around the router was completely dry inc the rest of the shelf and wall/ceiling etc.
My router is around 3 years old i'm guessing but i have never experienced this from a router before (I Work as I.T Support) now the only thing i can thing of that could possibly cause it would be some sort a battery leak, Does the Billion have a battery?
I have not touched the router (open it up) and it still has the warranty sticker on it, could i please send it in for investigation as this could have caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to my equipment. I have not tested all my equipment yet but the ones i have tried are fully working.
for reference I gave my second Billion 7800n to my nephew which which he loves like me, I hope this was just a faulty item and a one off otherwise i will need to look at different products.
Any help and advice appreciated.
Thanks
