Problems with Wireless Samsung printer

Hi all,
Been using an ML-1865w wireless Laser printer for several years now without any problems with various Netgear routers.

However, with the Billion 8800NL I continously have problems connecting - to the point where I have had to fit a lone USB cable to the most used PC. But, since other family members also need to print - this is causing a headache. I dont want to leave this main PC constantly running as a Print sharing device as that would be serious waste of electricity.

Is there any particular thing I need to check / fix to get this working consistently.

Running firmware 2.32d.dm2 on the 8800NL - did look at upgrading but after reading some of the reports I was put off upgrading unless someone can confirm there was a related fix in a more recent firmware.

Any tips / advice on how I can resolve this printer issue?

Thanks

Hi
Very interesting that you are also having connection issues with a 8800NL and wireless printer that has been working with other routers ok.
I have spent many hours trying to resolve a similar issue with my Epson XP312 wireless printer and am sorry to say I do not have a solution. I returned the Billion to the supplier and have now installed a Netgear 6400 which connects to the wireless printer ok.
I previously used the same printer with a Billion 7800N also without any problem so I think the 8800NL has a compatability issue or a 'bug'.

Please report if you find the answer ....

Hi,
For now I seem to have got it working again using the Samsung Wireless setup tool - but I know I use this before and after a while it stopped connecting.
So I dont know how long it will last...

Shame cos I never had any issues with previous Netgear routers.

Cheers!

Hi
Just to update you ....
I am now using an 8800AXL which connects to my Epson wireless printer with no issues as did a Netgear 6400 which I also tested. I think the 8800NL may have an issue with certain wireless printers.
