BT TV settings

I've just moved from a 7800DXL, with OR modem, to an 8800AXL, and cannot get BT TV to work.
On the 7800DXL, it was just a matter of configuring a bridge on the WAN connection, but doing the same on the 8800 doesn't seem to work.
Anybody managed to get this working?

What didn't work ?
I have just connected my 8800NL with all the default settings and could watch i-player, ITV player and BT Sport on my BT Youview box without any apparent issues......

It's only Bt Sport that's relevant, as it's an IP stream. I'm amazed that yours worked 'out of the box', mine certainly didn't until I followed all of the steps in the doc that Billion_Fan posted.

I did also try the suggested setup but found I couldn't connect to ANYTHING, I got this

fortunately I had backed up the working config so managed to restore it OK

I re-did all this again EXCEPT FOR the bridge mode settings and I can still access the internet this time.....not sure if it will make any difference to BT TV....
What / why would one need to use bridge mode ?.... ( sorry but my knowledge of networking stuff is quite limited !)

I think this is to ensure multicast packets are passed through

Has anyone got this working when using the 8800AXL in non VDSL mode by bridging the WAN port which connects to BT's Infinity modem? So my setup is
BT TV box -> Billion LAN port -> Billion WAN port -> BT Modem. The issue is I can get it working when I use the VDSL interface in the Billion using the previously mentioned guide and bridging the connection but I need a similar thing for the wan to lan ports, is this possible? It also works normally using the WAN port for standard internet traffic but the multicast IGMP stuff needs bridging.
It seems to lose connectivity when I try to bridge these and enable multicast on the wan interface etc. Reason being that the Billion VDSL part does not seem stable on either old or latest firmware, my 75/18 connection is now down to 65/13 and dropping.
If anyone else has BT Youview IPTV running in a similar setup I would be grateful to hear how you configured the router.
thanks

Have a look at the following thread, it should be the same setup for the 8800Axl, as they use the same setup method (EWAN >> PPPOE)
viewtopic.php?f=18&t=3387
Screen shot example of the bridge interface needed, so you should have 3 interfaces added to the WAN, the 3G, the PPPOE (that dials into the open reach modem) and bridge interface
