New Billion BiPAC 8800AXL Issue

Post by greystonefoot »

Hi there looking for some pointers please. Just bought a new Billion BiPAC 8800AXL to replace a BT Homehub 5 which sits in our living room. We have BT Infinity and the speed has been really poor so read that the Billion BiPAC 8800AXL could help. Plugged in and setup and I can see my speed is much better. My problem is I can no longer connect to my HP printer which is connected via a Ethernet cable to an old BT HomeHub 3 which lives at the back of our house. If I connect via wireless to the HHB3 I can connect to my printer with no issue. The printer can also connect to the internet with no issue as it picks up a email address for itself from HP directly. I changed the HHB3 for a Netgear switch I have but still no change. So my nice new Billion BiPAC 8800AXL is blocking my connection to my HP printer. Any pointers please?

1. Can you ping the IP address of the printer once connected to the 8800AXL?? (either Ethernet or Wireless)
2. Once connected to HHB3 are you able to ping the routers IP address??
3. Does the printers IP address show within the DHCP table of the router (status >> DHCP)
