7800DXL Print Server - partial printing and "Error" in queue

Hi All,

I have a shiny new Billion 7800DXL for my shiny new fibre connection. Everything working fine except for the print server is misbehaving:

I've set it up as per the manual.

About 60-70% of the time, when I send a print, it prints about half the page then stops. The print queue shows "Error." If I cancel the print, turn the printer off and on again, then usually it works.

There seems to be no particular pattern. The printer is a Canon MP630, if that makes a difference.

Router firmware is 2.32d.dm12 - looking at the fix list for 2.32e there doesn't seem to be any update to the print server so I haven't bothered to update the firmware yet.

Is this something others have encountered, and can advise on please?

Thanks
W

I guess it's just me then!?

Which makes me wonder if it's just that I have a faulty item.

Thanks b_f - I have a ticket number, TUN-586-33622. Their first suggestion was to update the firmware to 2.32e, which I did even though the release notes don't mention a fix to the print server. Unsurprisingly, updating the firmware has not fixed the problem!

Cheers
