Hi,
I have recently upgraded to Sky FTTC and am looking for a replacement router.
However, there are certain - quite basic, but often unconfigurable - features that the router must support for my requirements.
Please can someone confirm that this router will / will not support the following.
1. Sky FTTC connectivity (I belive the latest firm ware supports MER1483 DHCP Option 61)
2. WOL from the Internet i.e. Static ARP configuration etc.
3. Static Internal Routes - e.g. where the default subnet is 192.168.1.0 I want to add 192.168.2.0 => 192.168.1.254 etc.
4. VPN Tunneling i.e. Actually configure a VPN tunnel to another router etc.
5. Static ARP (see 2.)
I hope someone can answer these question, perhaps suggest a competitive retailer too!?
Also, of note, it seems that Billion support and development are very proactive - which is good to see!
One last thing, I believe this router has been release for quite some time (not necesarilly a bad thing!) - but are there any imminent routers to be released that may better suit connection to a FTTC service (with a seperate modem i.e. ADSL functionality is not really required)
Cheers,
Jon.
