Hi All, i am looking to go completely wireless N and try to utilise 300mb speeds on the bipac 7800n. currently I have had the bipac transmitting at wireless G + N because i have had an HTC desire that could only use G. Now i have updated the firmware on the phone i have changed the bipac to pure wireless N transmitting at 20/40 mhz as well as changing the channel to 6 from Auto. I have also enabled WMM.

Now my HTC desire and my iphone 4s wont connect at all. If i remove all security off the bipac they connect, however if i use wep or wpa or wpa2 with TKIP neither of them connect. This really seems like we are going back into the dark ages again as wireless N has been out a long time now.

can anyone steer me in the right direction as i dont want to leave my wireless open.

thanks

Mike

Well I use WPA/WPA2-PSK & AES & disable WMM.

Works fine for me.

Some iphones aren't happy with the dual channel width and dropping that down to just 20MHZ may help - if not ideal.

I should have added that whilst my wife & I only have 3GS iPhones , my son & daughter-in-law have 4Ss & they connect instantly on coming within range of the 7800N.

Also my iPad works exactly the same.

The settings I use (along with the 20/40mHZ setting) are those suggested elsewhere for full 'N' speeds.
