Firmware 1.06h for 7800N
Here, for those interested, are the release notes for the Australian version of the new 1.06h firmware for the 7800N and 7800GZ. It would be good to know when we might expect to be able to download the UK version from this website.

1.06h 2nd January 2013
Enhancements:
1. Added keep-alive setting for IPsec (7800GZ).
2. Added Client ID for DHCP clients.
3. Added more protection to ensure that 3G can remain connected(7800GZ)
Bugs Fixed:
1> Fixed 7800N WLAN Led behaviour.
2> Fixed WEB IOT issue with FireFox v15.
3> Fixed issue whereby system crashes when user sets EWAN via Basic mode.
4> Fixed 3G DNS Keep-alive ping issue (7800GZ)
5> Fixed PPTP issue (7800N).

Re: Firmware 1.06h for 7800N
This week I have upgraded two 7800n units in my house from 1.06g to this Au 1.06h without incident.
Both seem stable and 'as before' - wireless throughput remains the same and wired connections solid on an 80/20 profile FTTC line. [One unit is configured as the main DSL router, the other only as a wireless AP/switch].
The 'client ID' for DHCP clients is a start but I had hoped it would be extended to the 'fixed hosts'; I prefer to assign fixed IPs in my internal network and it's easier to glance at a list of 'names' rather than MACs.
What modifications are there likely to be in advance of a 'proper' UK release?
Jon

Re: Firmware 1.06h for 7800N
Thanks, billion_fan. Seems fine.
Can I echo the request above about Client Host Names. I'm happy to see them added to the DHCP Table, but that doesn't actually help me because I use fixed hosts, therefore my DHCP Table is usually blank. What would be really helpful would be to have a Client Host Names column in the ARP Table. Could you pass that on as a suggestion?

Why is it that /esupport only list 1.06e as the latest f/w for the UK GZ http://www.billion.uk.com/esupport/inde ... pac-7800gz
What happened to f and g if there is now a h release for the UK GZ ?

I will release 1.06h on our UK website once I have time (concentrating on 7800VDOX and 7800DXL at the moment)Tomken wrote:Why is it that /esupport only list 1.06e as the latest f/w for the UK GZ http://www.billion.uk.com/esupport/inde ... pac-7800gz
