Apologies for a really, really dumb question, but ...
Can anyone please provide details of 8800AXL settings for BT?
I have just swapped from Plus Net (where I had no problems) to BT and I cannot get router to connect.
It all looked pretty straightforward, until nothing happened except an error message that DSL line is not ready, despite there being no problem when connecting via BT Home Hub 5.
I use the 8800 to lower the SNR and get better speed, but I must be doing something silly.
Help?

From you description it seems the DSL is not syncing, maybe you can try setting the SNR back to -1, and see if it syncs up. If syncs (DSL light stays on solid) then follow the steps below

Then click on 'Configuration >>> WAN >> WAN Service' and click on the edit button for the PPPOA connection (this is for ADSL) or the PPPOE connection (which is for VDSL), depending on which service you have, then you can add your broadband username and password in the sections provided.

If you are on VDSL/Fibre, once you edit the PPPOE connection, also make sure the '802.1P Priority' is set to '0' and the ' 802.1Q VLAN ID ' is set to 101.
