Hi,
Does this router support Sky Fibre and do I still need the BT Fibre Modem or can the 8900AX-1600 act as modem and router?
Also, has anyone had any experience setting this up with Sky Fibre?
Thanks
Jon

If you look at the below posting then it implies it does support Sky Fibre:

On the Billion site it says VDSL2 which as far as I know means fibre but I agree it isn't clear it has a modem in. I don't know for sure that if you see VDSL2 on any router then that automatically means it contains a fibre modem.

Both our Bipac 8900AX series (2400 and 1600 R2) have a built in VDSL2 modem, and will support Sky Fibre, as well as BT fibre, PlusNet Fibre, Talktalk fibre etc, as a one box solution.
With Sky you will need to have extracted your current Sky broadband username and password from current Sky modem/router, so you can enter the credentials into our device to pass authentication,
The setup for Sky fibre will be the same as the 7800 series, eg Client ID option 61 will be used with your sky broadband username and password entered with a '|' inbetween eg username@skydsl|password
All VDSL connections within the UK will need the '802.1P Priority' set to 0 and the ' 802.1Q VLAN ID' set to 101.
Example Sky Fibre setup screen shots attached (manually configuration)

Thanks billion_fan that's really useful...
I have a BT OpenReach box so are you saying I can connect the DSL line from the BT box straight in to the Billion, then configure the WAN and you describe?

Hi billion_fan!
I'm struggling with allowing remote access to PLEX through theBillion, it was working before with my Sky Hub.
I'm configuring the inbound connection using the Virtual Server option under NAT with the following settings:
Custom Service - PLEX
External Port 12345 - 12345
Protocol TCP/UDP
Internal Port 12345 - 12345
Server IP: 192.168.1.1
WAN Interface - ptm0.1
Is this all I need to configure on the Billion? Or do I need to create a rule on IP Filtering Incoming for Port 12345 to Source 192.168.1.1 too?
Thanks for your help!
