can't seem to setup schedules?

I'm trying to stop my kids using the internet at night, so I set up a timeslot, and then added a packet filter rule to drop all outgoing traffic for the dhcp range.

however, this doesn't seem to work.

I've checked the time on my router, and that's OK, and rebooted it, but it just doesn't seem to be picking it up?

any ideas? I'm using 1.06e.

Hi

Does it work if set to "Always", this would show if the rule is the problem or the schedule not kicking in.

Hi

Excellent advice - and good diagnostic!

I set the firewall rule to always, and it worked, so as you suggested, it then looked like the schedule that was at fault. I had it set to start at 07:00 and end at 23:59, as I had assumed this was the "off time".

Changed this to start 00:01, end 07:00, and it worked perfectly - which actually makes sense; it is the time the packet filter is active.

If it helps anyone I've attached pics of the schedule and the firewall rule.

Schedule:

Firewall Packet Filter (my DHCP is set to give a range 100-199)

Thank you.

Hi

Good to hear you got it up and running and your kids will be sleeping and not surfing from now on :)
