no connection

Hi tried connecting new 8800nl r2 DSL light came on fine internet light came on then it lost it :( system log
Aug 6 07:20:12 daemon err syslog: pppd:Couldn't create new ppp unit: Inappropriate ioctl for device
Aug 6 07:20:12 daemon notice syslog: pppd:Couldn't reset tty to normal line discipline: Bad file descriptor
any ideas I've set plenty of routers up but never come across this

put old router back and it connected with no problems by the way it's on firmware 2.50a.d11 I've not done any update's

updated firmware reconfigured it and it connected :) BUT the stats don't look promising after 2 and half hours :(

You can try tweaking the SNR as your SNR downstream is quite high at the moment.

Attached is the SNR table for your device (try 4093 for a target SNR of 6db "-9db drop")

If it starts dropping out try 4096 as the SNR value, drop of 6.5db (target SNR of 8.5db)
